      Great Marc,
pls try to find the top polycount it can actually handle.
i am very curious whether it can produce multimilion poly trees....it looks like it can
      Thanks!

This is simply insane. Why on earth would anyone develop something as good as this, just for the ipad?

I got one as a gift for my parents. It's a great little device, no doubt. The thing is, it's only good for killing time. I can't imagine doing anything serious with it. I guess I will buy the next gen iPad for myself. It's perfect for surfing the internet while watching TV, hehe.

have to agree with you, its marvellous for killing time. I use mine for reading books mostly, and lately magazines (nat geo, wired, various photography and mountain biking magazines on zinio. Actually I have suddenly spent shit loads on yearly magazine subscriptions...).

When travelling, its brilliant for email, notes, internet. Have also used mine as a presentation device (minimal folio is my fav portfolio app). You can even get a connector to output to a projector.

Back to the subject, treesketch is really cool, havent exported to 3dstudio yet though. I wish someone would make such a simple program for real computers, but with a big library of tree types to at least start from.

So I played around with the Tree app. It's cool. It reminds me of Onyx.
As with Onyx, it's more a "randomizer" than a modelling app. The possibilities are limited, you can "paint" the branching direction, but it will always branch in a similar same way, with fixed rules.
Regarding polycount, I don't see a way to control it. You can paint a huge tree, it will have a high polycount but it will also look strange.
Personally I have no big desire to model trees, I drop them into my scene from some library and rotate them for randomization. A tree is a tree, I don't feel the need to personalize it.
