Microsoft Visual C++

Often times when I install a new program it insists on installing a version of Microsoft Visual C++ to make it function. So now I have 14 different versions of it installed on my computer. Are they all really necessary, or can I delete all but the latest one?

you're not installing a version of visual c++, you're installing different redistributable packages for visual c++. They are rather small. You need all versions that you have apps
for. Which version is needed depends on the version an application or plugin was compiled with.
