if you have 3d objects from Autocad Architectural desktop (such as wall, doors, roof, etc) you do need to go to plan view and export in dwg, all the 3d objects will be flat lines, if you have solids or lines flatten should work.show me the money!!

but autodesk should really have some mechanism to handle these situations. Sometimes people sending you the files are reluctant to follow "a certain procedure" to export a file just for your needs.
And sometimes they already gone out of business and you can't get hold of them etc.Kind Regards,

If you export it as AutoCAD LT should be in 2d......if you want to explote the geometry I think it has to be 3 times.(ADT uses multiview objects)
I don't remember if you need to install "Object enabler" to handle ADT geometry inside regular Autocad.
Fernandoshow me the money!!

if you export to autocadLT its still the same as just autocad (original from autocad). LT can still read 3D even though you can't draw in 3D ie extrude stuff.
The demo of Autocad Architecture (formerly ADT) worked as in I just open the file and export to AutoCAD. that auto explodes all AEC and flattens it like expected.
Then just re-open the new file in standard AutoCADKind Regards,
