How do you export a proper OBJ for the Ivy Generator application? When I import my OBJ I get some pretty bad geometry. All I am doing is creating a box, exporting it, and importing into the Ivy Generator. Half my faces are gone.

Question - I've used Ivy ages ago when u had to use stand alone soft... anyway is there an option to paint a mask or some spline to set up limits of ivy grow ?

I sometimes make a copy of the geometry and edit it to get the ivy to go where I want it to. To simulate glass you just freeze your glass object: the ivy won't grow through it or climb up it.

It is a clever bit of software. We've used it on and off over the years. We have had stability issues at times though where just selecting an earlier created ivy mesh crashes max. I would suggest that when you create something you are happy with, save it as a proxy.

ive even used it in a time lapse footage. I got an animated rose from turbosquid then hand animated a leaf growing and used them on the vine as it was growing up something. looked awesome
