  • How To Exclude Other Forums When Click On New Posts

When I click on the "New Posts", I want to be able to see only the Vray for 3DSMax Forum.
I tried to change settings in advance search and saved but it is no help.

I find it distracting to see all other software forums. Is it possible to have this setting on the forum?

+1 It would be good to be able to opt out of some of them selectively.

i just toggle the little up arrow to the right of the forum name

MSN addresses are not for newbies or warez users to contact the pros and bug them with
stupid questions the forum can answer.

Doesn't apply to the list you get with "new posts"

About 50% of my posts never get sent because I'm trying to answer a post in the wrong forum.

You can kinda do that by going to advanced search, switching to single content type, set "search in forums" to the ones you want, set "Find Posts" to "Last Visit" and "And newer". You can also save these as search preference, tho that might interfer with normal searches.

            Thorsten

I was just thinking this myself. I'm getting fed up of seeing all the softimage, Maya and sketchup 'new posts'.

Especially when you can't even see the attachments in those forums. Even if you are interested in reading them, you can't!

I tried making this but it doesn't work with the New Posts button I guess.

I am sure there must be a way. I think other forum people are unhappy about this too.

It works *instead of* the "New posts" button. In any case, I agree that having the "New posts" button show everything is annoying. We are looking for ways to make it show only posts from the forums for which the user is actually registered.

                      Best regards,

Thorsten's trick is working pretty well actually. I just use it instead of "new posts" and I think it does what is needed.... still figuring it out but seems to do the job.

                              Guys I totally agree.

But If I may suggest. We should have either color or logo coding for each forum too. So when we open New post section each topic with different software will be differently tinted or there should be a logo of software used next to it. ( I prefer tint as its big and hard to miss...)
