    Does anybody else ask them selfs ever what the scrollbars in the matEditor are good for? obviously not to scroll trough all your materials maybe someday they will have some rss news ticker in it...

    If you enlarge the size of the sphere samples, then you can scroll!

      but there is still the question why its restricted to 4x6, if you could scroll it

        Because it's ancient. Autodesk will say, use the new node based mat editor.
        I can't stand the new one. I don't want to fiddle with wires.
        I'd like a listview based mateditor.

          i dont like the fact that when i use the slate matEditor i need to cover my howl screen with it in order to organize myself wit my materials...
          and even now when i know a bit where things are to find i need more as double of the time to do the same material in slate mode...
          and why dident they do a math node, where i could give a random numeric value. i mean if they have all things now node based they could go on with it properly. there would be a lot of possibilities but somehow they all ways just scratch on a new surface.

          a list view wouldn't be bad either, but not a restricted one
