  • How do I orbit during line command in Max?

    Hi all

So during line creation I can pan using "i", but how do I orbit?

I don't know why max works so stupid, why can't you just pan, zoom and orbit the same way during a command, as you would if you're not in a command and exploring stuff in your viewport.
    Kind Regards,

Well, you can't. But do you really need to orbit while creating a spline?
I pan with the mousewheel, out and in at different locations.
No question that it sucks. It's a shame how bad splines in max are.

When drawing the line, you can always press "i" to recenter the view to you current vertex position while keeping the spline editable... No orbiting possible. But linework is a shame considering what you can do in autocad.. I agree...

I was drawing a spline over a sphere, had to orbit to see the correct vertex to snap to (zooming didnt help< just too many of them)
ended up drawing 3 different splines and just attaching them

Yes I cant understand how they decided to make it like that.
