    i know something like this has been asked about for a while. this is a MR shader. any way to figure it out for vray?

      Isn't this the same as reducing the visibility amount of the objects properties?
      Reflect, repent and reboot.
      Order shall return.

        Not quite - it keep the object flat, it's opaque parts don't build up on themselves like transparency would do.

            If you turn 'visible in refractions' in the transparent object's vray properties off, you can avoid the build up with the side effect of not being able to show the transparent models behind glass or other refractive surfaces. I use this feature to show transparent people.
