  • Mac real-time 3D

A client wants an object that I created presented in real-time 3D format for Mac but is adamant that nothing that doesn't already come installed on Macs -not even a browser plugin- be required. I'm not a Mac guy, so the only thing I can think of is to do it as a Quicktime VR Object, which is a pain and isn't very flexible.

Do Macs have any other realtime 3D formats pre-installed that I am unaware of?

    Thanks.

BTW, the reason it's important to the client that nothing be installed is because this is for archaeologists to use, and most of them are... not terribly computer savvy.

    you could look at http://www.demicron.com/index.html
Wirefusion web based 3D (java) however you would need to install java, but even most Macs have that nowadays, don't they?

I believe Unity3D can build self-contained executables that will run on PC or Mac.
