  • CAL licenses

We have a growing render farm and I'd like to know how many CAL licenses are in use and how many I have left on our server (Windows 2003 SBS). Is there an easy way to find this information?

(just trying to figure out if its this that is giving me vray dr issues or not)

      its a Client Access License
for servers typically you can set it per seat or per device, depending on which one you choose, you'll need a license for each.

For example if you just have a standard win XP workstation and use that as your server, you only need 1 windows license for XP and it will allow you to make up to 10 connections from other computers at a time to that pc.

For servers however, you need a CAL for each connection/user/device (depending on which license option you choose) typically when you purchase Windows Server OS, it comes with 5 CAL's
