Architectural Glass- what is it?

Pardon my ignorance- but what the heck is Architectural Glass? How is it different than any other glass? What makes it architectural?

Architectural glass has a thin layer of idiot proofing. kidding
If you are talking about the max material, it's just a preset for glass IOR and basic properties are taken care of.
or using falloff maps to control the IOR for a less realistic/more dramatic type of glass.

architectural glass in physical terms has very different properties than standard glass. typically, it is actually 2 layers of glass. the glass will also have different treatments applied to it to satisfy energy and solar requirements, and aesethic needs. these treatments will change the appearance of the glass in color, reflection, transparency, etc.
