  • Looking for Screenwriting plugin for MS Word

    Hi all

About 8 or 9 years ago, I used a little plugin (or script or macro or template) in Word for writing movie scripts. It autoformatted the font, indentation etc. It added some buttons and I think its own toolbar with easy to access commands spcifically for screenplays. For the life of me I can't remember what it was called and kind find my old scritps. If I'm not mistaken, the "macro" got saved with the DOC file, so if you opened it in another PC that didn't have the plugin, it would install it somehow or it will just work (hey it was a long time ago)

I did a quick Google search, and millions of these things pop up. Can anobody recommend a good FREE current version that will work in Word 2003 and Word 2007?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

I would not know the sepcial addon you are looking for. I just wanted to point you towards http://www.celtx.com which is a free screenwriting software that is supposed to be pretty nice. I have not used it myself, but it might be worth a try...the price seems just right

        OK I found it!
It is called "ScriptSmart Gold" from the BBC:
        http://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/scr...art_gold.shtml

also, there is a slightly more "colorful version" of a screenwriting template over at office templates but without the cool icons of the BBC version:
