Hey Guys, this is kind of driving me crazy, hope someone can help....
The Short Story: Is there a way I can remap all the Alt Key shortcuts in Max (i.e. orbit, isolation mode…) to instead be CTRL Key shortcuts..?
The Long Story: At my new job, I work in Cinema 4d on a Mac. At home I work in 3ds Max / Vray (my strong preference) on a PC. Not having the same shortcuts across the board really drives me crazy. I’m always fumbling around for the first 15 mins -there must be a way to standardize them across the board.
In attempts to do so, I ended up buying a Mac keyboard for my PC at home. So now, I have the same physical keys in both places. I was able to remap the Cinemas shortcuts to match the Max shortcuts I’m used to pretty easily. So the remaining issue is Max shortcuts on a Mac Keyboard – and that stupid ⌘ key discrepancy. So, I used the SharpKeys program to remap my Mac Keyboard command key to be the control Key. This way my Photoshop Short Cuts work properly (Did I mention I want those to be the same too..?) So at this point, everything works, except I’d like to press the Command key (which has been remapped to the Control Key) to orbit, and such, in Max like I’m used to.
Any suggestions…(besides getting over it and just learning new shortcuts..?
