  • Strange Problem: All wireframe colors displayed black in viewport

    Does anyone ever encounter this and know why it happens?
    I am on 3dsmax 2012 with Direct 3D viewport.

    Strangely all wireframe colors are black or whote or grey. I enabled/disabled hardware shadong and switched between shadong modes but couldnt locate the problem cause.
    I will be glad if someone has an answer for this annoying problem.

    Cheers

    Try checking Display(tab)->Display Color->WireFrame-> and change "Material color" to "Object color"

    You could also check to see if stuff is not frozen maybe.

      No this is not the problem. It is not about material color or boject color. As I told, I have this problem in wireframe mode.

        OK, but the wireframe colour is either based off the object colour (which is usually randomly designated when made) or based off the material.

        Could you please try running this code and see if it fixes your issue:

        displayColor.wireframe = #object

        Apologies if this is not correct but I don't know anything else that can drive the wireframe colour.

          Thanks but this is not the reason. I checked this.
