  • Scene States and State Sets confusion!

Couldn't Autodesk have come up with a better naming system for these sorts of things. I am trying to establish the main differences/overlaps between Scene States and State Sets. I was thinking that State Sets was a 'newer' version of Scene States, but apparently not.
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

I also find it confusing, especially since they do similar things.

        Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

I have found scene states to be so dangerous in the past. You can really do some organizational damage if you're not careful. This is likely to add to the danger and confusion! Another feature to steer clear of :P

Why do you guys wonder ? That´s Autodesk way to "enhance" features for years.
They are simply beeing replaced by something new.. that´s usually not much better

In fact, they don't replace, they just add... as usual

I wonder which clients Autodesk gets their feedback from for new features!
Seems like always people who are very new to 3D and 3Dsmax.

Apparently not from the UK according to a recent event in London.
