  • Maya camera crop render script and other features?

    Heya

Its not really vray related - more general maya question.

I have 18k render to do from which around 1/10 is the subject that needs rendering. Maya deal very hardly with such big resolution and I was wondering if there is a way to do crop render like 3ds max?

Or is there a script that allowes me to zoom in and so on to the area I need to render?

Also is there a way to do tile rendering or so ? So it will cut the render area on x render crops so that it can be more efficiently rendered / kinda like tire rendering in BB?

    Thanks, bye.

    Hi,
    To render large images :
    - set your image format in render settings to "vrimg"
    - after, set your "memory frame buffer" (always in common tab) to "None"

When your render is finished, use the vrimg2exr tool to convert the result to an OpenEXR file.

For tile rendering, there are some scripts on creativeCrash.
