  • How do you remotely monitor a still render?

    Hi all

So besides "remote desktop", what other ways do you use to remotely check on the progress of a render?

Yes I could always log into the server and see if the exr is done, but that doesn't help if the render is still busy. On long renders how do you know its still busy, how far it is, and if it didn't crash?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Deadline baby, with their mobile app, you get your whole render que right on your phone!

And LogMeIn free, iphone app straight onto your desktop.

unfortunately Deadline is not an option now. The LogMeIn thing sounds interesting, I'm Googling now to see if there is a BlackBerry version... in the meantime, anybody else have any other suggestions?
      Kind Regards,
      Morne

            ---------------------------------------------------
MSN addresses are not for newbies or warez users to contact the pros and bug them with
stupid questions the forum can answer.

Didn't Morne ask for alternatives to remote desktops? Everyone is spitting out links to their favourite remote desktop afaics (appart from the deadline app witch sounds interesting. Too bad I don't have dealine or an iphone).

Google recently released a beta of their Chrome remote desktop, but I haven't used it... I don't know if it has a mobile version either.

                  Best regards,
