  • like the surface modifier, but works on more "crappy" spline cages?

got a "model" as a dxf of a set of complex organic structures. turns out just to be a set of spline cages. at first glance doesnt look too bad. majority of holes are 4 sided, a few hundred with many more. however looking at the vertices, its got about 50 per curved edge. so there is no way i can use the surface tools on it.

anyone know of software or plugin that can make a mesh of such a mess? im expecting to have to poly model it using the spline cage as a guide.

        - i ended up hand modelling them.. pretty simple job really.. i did try the max terrain tool, but it only works in the z axis so 3d forms like this just wont work. the same goes for populate:terrain, as its based on a flat poly grid.

splineland might be different, but my beta version wont work, and i get no response from the developers ( typically..
