render farm

I'm trying to set up a render farm. Any suggestions for machines.
shall I go with a rack mount or several workstations.

I'm only using them for the farm

Rack mount is nice if you need to save space but rackmounts are twice as much as a regular case.

Boxx (www.boxxtech.com) makes some nice 1U rack mount render nodes. Not too bad on price. You could build your own cheaper but Boxx makes some nice stuff. I priced a dual AMD 2400+ with a 40GB HD at around $2200.
