Did Bertrand decide to teach someone his techniques ?
Is it me or this work looks very similar to Bertrand stuff ?

Hmm.. i don't really get your points guys. I know Bertrands stuff and i also know some of Ramons recent work and for me they are both great cg-artists.
Both of them can make an cg-image look like an professional photograph, but what exactly do you consider to be the uniqe artistical style here?

I agree.. both styles are very much similar ( pro in CLO3d, lighting style etc etc) .. website of this artist- http://www.zancanaro.com/
I noticed his work only after ronenbekerman.com announced his images as the artist of the week. I wonder if he is active on this forum aswell.

I suppose the main point is that Bertrand has gone beyond doing arch vis of rooms and houses, and he's moved towards being a stylist and a photographer too - a lot of the impressive stuff in his shots is the furniture arrangement, the interior design and the toning of his renders afterwards.

                  100% this.

There are a lot of professional architectural photographers whose work you would find hard to distinguish from these sort of shots. I believe Betrand himself usually cites his photographic influences.

I guess that photographic eye, sense of composition, and incredible craftsmanship doesn't really make a style. that's talent, and they both have plenty.. apart from being both exceptionally talented, and both taking pleasure in creating photographic illustration I wouldn't say that one actually borrow from the other in terms of style. inspiration maybe, but style I don't know. actually, come to think of it, zuliban's work is probably the first I can clearly remember inspiring me into thinking about architectural illustration in this kind of photographic language.

For everything that people have said so far, what is not mentioned is the incredible job on modeling that bed spread hanging over the bed. There is no way in the world i could accomplish that to the extent that he has. If he posted an explanation or tut on how he did it, i'd love to read it. I wouldn't even know where to begin on something like that.

I thought you were saying he posted someones work, as his own. As far as style.... do we ever really creating anything new, anyway? We take parts from here, and parts from there, and make something with it.

for sure, this in 2004 is incredible - http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=154301

kinda funny how much grief he gets for it being too clean.

and this made me laugh too - "about the rendertime it was 2 days 48 hours straight"
I'd love to see how quickly that could be rendered now
