  • CG-Source.com now with HDRI Skies

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you all know I've added a lot of HDRI skies to http://www.cg-source.com/products_hd...seccat=hdrisky they are all in 16000x8000 which is usually big enough to be used for lighting, reflections and also as the background. They are all totally free off horizon and most include backplates.

I also added MultiTexture for max2013

    /Thomas

It varies depending on the scene, but I'm doing everything in my powers to get the range as high as possible, and as you can see on the ones with sunlight the shadow is as expected on the sample renderings. But for more details you can read: http://www.cg-source.com/sky_info.php

Got stuck on the part "totally free"

took a moment to read to the next line to see that it refers to the horizon...
          Kind Regards,

Just curious Thomas, for your HDRI's do you just have a location that's very high up with no buildings nearby to get your panoramas?

                        Glad you guys like it

Joconnell: I'm located in Denmark so getting very high up is impossible since Denmark is very flat, but in relative to the surroundings I'm up quite high, I only have a few tree tops that goes above the horizon., but I can assure you it isn't easy to find a good spot that isn't ruined by trees, buildings, powerlines etc.

I've spent a lot of time trying to find a good spot in Finland. If there's a hill or somesuch that goes above the treeline, you can be sure someone has built a radio mast there or if not, there'll be at least a flag pole ruining the fun
