does mesher retail particle velocity?

trying to mesh the particles to send them from max to maya, was wondering if that works?

That depends; .vrmesh files might work, if the max exporter manages to calculate the correct velocities in the first place.

Give xmesh a go for some of this stuff - I found it helped a huge amount in fixing velocities in thinking particles when rendering with vray. The file sizes are tiny too!

xmesh was not available in maya last I checked. I'd love to use it though. When I try to use mesher and do a vrmesh, my max eventually crashes
