    Did you read the announcement?

Autodesk will not continue to market and sell Naiad as a standalone product but it is anticipated that certain Naiad technology may find its way into future Autodesk offerings. As of this time, there are no new product or offering announcements pertaining to the Autodesk software portfolio.
So it's dead in the water straight away...finally someone comes up with a decent Realflow alternative...and AD kills it *sigh*

My main issue with Realflow is Price vs. beeing the most buggy program ever.

And i had the impression that a lot more stuff was happening since Naiad popped up. Now we're back to a real monopol.

Yep - I was shocked to see that realflow has pretty much added on an extra 600 quid with every version they've brought out, with 5 being the first really stable one I've used. Naiad pushed it to get two versions out within a year and really up their game, now they can go back to being lazy sods again.

I think it is really sad that ADSK can just go and kill a product like Naiad.

such a slap on the face to those who committed to naiad both in rnd and financially, all those facilities that bought licenses (my understanding was they weren't cheap at all), now down the drain.

Didnt pixomondo spend some time basically building their own version inside max?

It's rough, but if autodesk does that and the next version of max has naiad in it, everything is forgiven.

Haha, IMHO that will not happen.
I think they will make another Suite (Entertainment Creation Suite Master ) to add naiad in it and the price will be very expensive. (over $10,000)
