Autodesk releases preview of augmented reality plugin

Autodesk Labs has released a free technology preview of a new augmented reality plugin.
As yet, the tool only works with the 2013 release of Showcase, Autodesk’s CAD rendering software. Still, it’s pretty neat to see it in action – and as a work-in-progress technology, it’s not impossible that it might eventually make it into the company’s DCC packages, particularly 3ds Max Design.

Try this. There is a Demo and a free version. Works pretty well. you´ll just need a webcam.. and a printer

The Showcase plugin works fairly well, and only takes a couple minutes to set up.
