How many secs/minutes is not the issue. [unless you are paying a renderfarm]
It's all about how many hours it will take you to complete the work!!
EG- you could have 2 animations of exactly the same length [2 mins] but one may require 4 times the amount of preparation work as the other.

    Hope this helps

after looking at the above video, how much would someone expect to pay for that?

lol... that's always the unknown part of the equation...2 different clients may be willing to pay two differnt amounts.

        Here's my advice for animations.....
Quote what it will cost you to make. Then add another 20-30% as there are more problems to deal with in animations
If the client thinks it's too expensive then stick to doing stills [as I have for the last 3 years]
I would prefer to do cool animations but in the end I found I made more money doing stills.
In the end you have to ask yourself....do I want to be a rich business man or a poor artist.

        Hope this helps

...and seen as though I am trying to be a rich businessman, I will have to charge you you a fee everytime you use it.....LMAO

No offence but isn't this like the third thread this year you've started about animation prices? I get that it's a though thing to get right, but really it's just the amount of hours you estimate you need to put in it plus something like 20% or 30% extra because things tend to go wrong with animations
