arch vis showreel... im falling asleep here.

im so envious of those of you in the film, music or motion graphics industries. all that wham-bam fast moving stuff.. must be really nice making a lively showreel with that sorta work.


im here trying to put together an exciting edit out of endless slow camera moves around architecture. yawwwn. icing on the cake would be a recording of a photocopier doing 500 copies as the soundtrack.

Coming from Arch Vis and getting into all things Design Vis. I know it seems like architects want slow fly-throughs of their buildings, but it's our job to convince them it's boring as hell. Add some spice to your animations, fast cuts, and attempt to tell a story with a great sound track, one that starts a bit slow and builds and crescendos. I feel your pain and am also trying to reinvent my work to be more exciting. I'm attempting to do it through the things I mentioned. I feel you pain.

i do have some faster moving stuff, but when you cut individual clips into a new edit, you lose any "story" youve managed to shoehorn past the clients, and at the end of the day, the focal point of almost every shot is.. a building.

anyway its coming together nicer now.. not gonna get on MTV but im less comatose now.
