  • tips for creating animation of Lego blocks building up ...

Guys do you know maybe somekind of plugin, script that will create animation of object building up from pieces. Let's say I have some logo build of Lego blocks and I want those pieces to be just lying on the table and then start building up the structure.

Could you use a demolition plugin on the fully built object to break it apart with an invisible force?

If you want them to collide and not pass through each other you're looking at using box#2/3 & the physx stuff in it.

edit: maybe send an email to this guy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz-7Di2s4yY

        Like Colin said. Demolish it.

        Then reverse the video

Unless it should start neatly next to each other on the table
        Kind Regards,

Ok I demolished it with massFX but the problem is it's blowing up right form the start, instead of just fall apart.

You should be able to do this pretty simply with Particle Flow even without any of the boxes. You'd need to store the positions of the blocks (assembled and disassembled), then use a collision test to swap between the two. You could even use a rigid body sim (Reactor/MassFx) to scatter the blocks (I say could, because I haven't actually tried this)

I'm currently waiting on a load of renders so can't mock up a test or give you anything clearer than that, but will take a look when I get a free moment and see if I get get it working.
