  • Linking FBX

Does anybody work with FBX files from Navisworks? I can export out of Navisworks manager in minutes, but it'a taking 4hr to import, just part of the model, into 3DS MAX.

That is strange. We just exported a HUGE model out of Navisworks and it imported just fine. Is there a file I could try for you?
We did have some strange things happen with the linking, but with such a big model, I just chalked it up to the original file being created from 37 linked files in Navisworks. So I didn't look into it anymore. That was with Max 2013.

Each time I import FBX from non-native autodesk product, I run it trough the FBX converter.

I can not say with NavisWorks, but from other packages, usually yes.
