  • Wordpress social - like, +1, tweet, pinterest etc

    Hi all

I need 2 things here. In my header (or footer) I need buttons for people to follow me, like me etc on facebook google+ etc. When they click on the icon it will take them to my facebook or twitter or whatever page.

2nd thing. I need a generic "share" or link" for each post and each picture on my site. So when a person clicks on "like" for a picture, it will use their facebook site to show the like or the share or if they click on "tweet" for a picture or post it will in their twitter account send a link to that post or picture.

Is there recommended plugins for such things that automatically adds the buttons below/above each post and picture? Or at least a plugin where I can manually add it where I want? Or is it a case of manually adding the code each and everytime?

Some basic info or step by step info could be helpful please...
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

I went with Addthis, but can't figure out how to get the widget in header. It only allows me to rag it to a front page template.
I checked the front page code and cant see it anywhere there, but it does display. Thought I could just copy and paste from front page to header.
            Some tips?
            Kind Regards,

is it a widget? If it is, and it is likely a widget, go to your widget page and drag/drop from the left, to the right.

Yes it is. From the widget page I only have 3 options to drag to the right. I can drop it in either "side bar", "1st front page template" or "2nd front page template" that's it. There's no option to drop it into my header

Widgets are usually the bottom and the right side.

How can something so simple be so complicated

A Twitter button is "Follow Me" It doesn't take you to their Twitter, it'll take them to your Twitter, at which time they can follow you.

go to my site (http://bobby-parker.com/) and pick the Twitter in the upper right. It'll take you to my Twitter home. I don't think the Twitter button works any other way.
