Ornatrix v. Hair Farm rendering speed differences when using Vray?

I read that Hairfarm's built-in renderer is considerably quicker than Ornatrix. Now that both Hairfarm and Ornatrix are supported natively by Vray -- is there a speed difference between the two types of hair when rendering them totally within Vray?

Has anyone done any tests?

There is no difference whatsoever; internally we use the same render code for both - we just read the hair geometry from different places.

I guess there's no render times difference with native hair&Fur modifier too ?

The code for the Hair&Fur is slightly different, so render speed can be different too, but I don't know in which direction (faster or slower). It does seem that Hair&Fur is somewhat slower to prepare the hair for rendering.
