    I don't understand this - what should I do?
Open the library browser from the "Modify" Panel, instead the "Create" panel. That's all.
There are several operations in the library which cannot be done while an object is being created, because may crash Max.

So I need to create a ForestPro object in a fresh, clean Max scene first, and thengo and modify it?

OK - So I have created an FP object and modified it and now I think I can add a model into it. However, my thumbnail is in a different folder to the max file and I now get an error:- 'Only thumbnails in the current library path are allowed'

Does this mean I have to manually copy thumbnail images for all the models I want in this library into a subfolder of the T:\MODELS\FORESTPRO_LIBRARY?

Mmm. I don't think this is the kind of thing I am looking for anyway. I will begin a new thread....

Yes, thumbnails must be copied in the library folder. Note that the library browser is designed to keep all files together, so it can be moved/copied easily.
