  • Color Balance

I just ran across this, over on the cgarchitect, and it's awesome. How do you think he controls the color balance so well? I am sure it's a combination of a lot of things, but I love it!

looks to be a greyish hdri with some subtle colour curve corrections?
maybe a slight push in the red and green channels?

i think its really quite ugly

When lighting with HDR's I find it quite a bit easier set my Vray camera to a neutral/white balance, and then color correct the HDR in Photoshop before I assign it to the scene. It takes a bit of testing to get it perfect but the color balance is quite controllably.

I don't know why, but I like it. There was another artist that had the same look, and I liked his stuff, too.

HDR ? Maybe but it would make little sence in a complete diffuse cloudy environment.
It could be just a simple environment color or gradient. (Hint !!! wich is also HDR if you crank up the multiplier)

Jip, I like it as well. But I think the sky should be whiter...
