  • UVW face mapping to square, not triangle?

I am hoping this has a simple solution and I just have brain freeze this afternoon.

I have a bunch of window panes of glass that I want a gradiant map to be applied to so that I get undulating reflections from one pane to the next. When I use face mapping, the gradient (bercon gradient in this case) is mapping to the triangular face and not the square of each pane. I am using a UVW modifier set to 'face' mapping.

How do I map this so that the gradiant is over each complete square pane?

Are the panes proper quad faces?

Try converting it to mesh and back to Editable Poly (unless of course it's mesh).

looks like vertices got broken somehow

as others suggested, weld verts and/or just convert to poly.

Tricky, I applied a mix of circular gradient with noise on the glass(bump) very low by the way and I got a lot distortion mostly in refraction....I'm using 1.5 ior.... Do you any trick to get that effect look good?
