have you checked you don't have any render left in the batch queue? even if the job is completed?

nothing there. it's a Rebus Farm error, that's keeping from submitting a job.

I guessed it could be that. it's weird though, when it happens here, cleaning the queue of all jobs it's usually enough..

I got this from their support:

in 3ds in the top menue - rendering - batchrender

you need to separate the scene you like to send
batch is not supported . save one scene for each batch you like to do

well, I guess they just assume you actually have some job there to render.. I never had that error though, unless there actually was a render queue.

When I went to the mentioned dialog, sure enough, there were 7 views listed. I am not sure why they were there, but they were, and I deleted them. I sent my job to the cloud; I look forward to seeing the results. Like I said in a previous post, the Rebus scene checker is pretty cool, and worth installing the plug-in for.

yes, that's quite a solid piece of software. one of the few things I miss with their manager is the option to rename a job while sending it, it would be much more convenient than saving out several versions of the same scene only to give them unique names.. minor thing I guess, but still.

well, I'll let you know how it goes.

I can see how this could get very expensive, so I have to use self control, and just render out finals. It took seconds to submit, I got a success box, but I don't know where my job lives now. It couldn't have uploaded the textures and model that fast, so I am just trusting in the process. My jobs screen is not listing the job, either. I supposed things are still being uploaded, and when everything hits their servers, it'll become a job. But, in the meantime, I hit render on my local farm. if it takes 2 hours upload, then it really doesn't make much sense for stills.

in the manager window you can upload the job, and once it's ready to render hit start renderjob. then you can control the status of the job in the right column, under frame info. there's a "more" link there, if you click it, it will open a log which tells you at what percentage is the render.

Yes. I just found this. I thought it was all managed in MAX; I didn't realize I have the manager utility. It's up and running! I had to lower a lot of setting to get past the model check. I am render locally with the new settings, and in the cloud, so the race is on!
