          Weird, Vred can Raytrace Nurbs data if I'm not wrong. Why would they want this stuff? :/

          Unless Vred is hacking it and tesselating on the go. No idea.

          Morbid Angel - yea I wish that would happen... Unfortunately Vred is pretty... "Special" in what its doing... been using it for a long time now.

                  It will be patched together with numerous other technologies that don´t play well together.. it will be hyped for 2 years and than never touched again...

                  no seriously... we totally don´t have any other way to render nurbs data smooth nowadays...

                    Was I dreaming, or did Vlado mention once that they were considering adding native nurb primitive support in vray a good while back?

                      I don't think so... we have never focused on that specifically. We do have a NURBS tesselator in V-Ray for Maya, but it is not intended for professional results.
