3dsmax 2014 populate characters

Does anyone know if it is possible to edit these characters or add your own or maybe even edit if they are holding items etc ?

I am pretty sure its not possible as of the moment.
Was impressed with populate but the more I started using it the more I found it to be missing the versatility needed for real world use
