    Some time ago I remember someone posted a brilliant tutorial on how to use PBomb to de-triangulate meshes. I can't seem to find it. I have a de-triangulating script that works great, but the mesh I need to quad is so complex that it freezes.

    If memory serves that PBomb method doesn't work in the newer versions of 3ds Max.

    Have you tried the Quadrify all option in the Graphite Modelling tools?

      Ah! Quadrify All!! Success!! I was getting that confused with the Quadrify Mesh modifier which doesn't do anything good.

        Hooray!

        The Quadify Mesh modifier can be great if you want quick and dirty quads on an things like extruded text, but not much help in this case
