3dsmax 2014 - memory issues

Is anyone else having lots of crashes/hanging with 2014?
With 2012 I can have 2 quite large files open with no problems but in 2014 as soon as I open a second file max starts giving me memory errors and then just crashes to desktop.
I also get a freeze when I try to reload an xref more than once. I have to close max and reopen my file to reload the xref.
At this stage the only thing that is keeping me on 2014 is the viewport speed. So quick!

I'm not experiencing anything like that, and I do both of those things daily.

Can you send me a couple of sample files and see if I can replicate the issue?

2014 has been a huge step up for us over 2013, very happy.
