  • best workflow to convert point cloud data (laser scanned) to meshes???

hi all, what is the best/easiest way to convert laserscanned point cloud datasets of buildings or objects to meshes?

Take a look at Meshlab http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/

It's been a while since I've used it but it should be able to generate a mesh from pointcloud data.

I have seen this being done with Thinkbox Frost.

Frost isn't really scan cloud mesher though, it creates a blobmesh around the points, which might be too puffy for a lot of point clouds.

It might be a bit tricky to figure out the settings for a point cloud with Meshlab, but usually it gets the job done very well.
