Has http://www.cgtextures.com always had a 100MB download quota? I love using the site, and have a premium membership, but I reach 100MB after a handful of high resolution images.

$75 gets you 100. $150 gets you 250, and $325 gets you 750mb and an ip whitelist.

I think it's always been like this.

I didn't realize there was a tier. I guess I'll be more particular, save what I download, or open the wallet and get more bandwidth.

I download it for my immediate need, but I don't save the photo in a library, or anything for later use.

Yeah, that's crazy. You dont re-use old assets or maps at all?

You should start keeping all your maps and textures separate from your job folders, in an easy to browse series of folders. Given 6 months to a year, you'll start to notice a huge time saving (or simply an increase in quality - if you get to skip straight to modifying the shader, you can get it pretty much perfect instead of having to compromise because of all the time spent looking for a map).

Same goes for objects, if you ever make custom assets.

I have a large library of textures, just not ones I download from the internet. My texture library consists of high quality texture libraries, that I have purchased, and use all the times. I use CGtextures.com all the time too, but I consider that disposable assets. I have a hard enough time with storage space as it is. I have a butt load of local storage, but for off-site backup, I am limited.
