Where to find more high quality rigged characters ?

My client is being very picky about a character for a project I am working on. I've checked out AXYZ and found only one character but she needs to be wearing trousers instead of shorts: https://secure.axyz-design.com/shop/swom0003hd2cs

Can't find anything on Turbosquid either. Any ideas/links ?

ive often thought there would be a market for film quality rigged people with hair and proper shaders.. as it is, the stuff we use in arch-vis is crap even by computer game standards.


is poser used by anyone any more? last time i looked at it was literally years ago and the import to max was flakey and half arsed. they seem to be able to do very decent character work in there, but getting it into max with a biped, well skinned and with decent shaders and hair?

I think the AXYZ characters look pretty good. I mean, they aren't film quality by a long way but better than a lot of characters in arch vis stuff I've seen. Which is a shame because the rest of the image can be of much higher quality.

The thing I've found with the rigged characters is that the biped rigging is quite basic and has strange deformations in certain areas...mainly the hands in my experience. Character quality seem to be getting better but still not there in my opinion. Unless of course you go to Turbosquid and pay $999.99. I've not purchased those models but they look pretty good !
