scripters wanted!

if someone could help me with a little script!!

i want to rename all selected objects to a specific group of objects.

example:

i import a lot of elements from cad and max renames them into
entity1 up to entity 510.

the next time i impot something max starts again with entity1 so i have to click the ok button a hundret times, really boring!!

so this little script shoul rename the current selection from entity01-entity150 to wall01 - wall 150.

if someone has any help, pleaselet me know!!

type rename into the searchbox and u'll find quite some script.

If you're using max 5 or higher there is a built in renaming tool under the tools menu called "rename objects"

It will do what you want.

If using Max 4 or lower you have to do it through a script or use the free plugin from blur studios called object utilities which has its own renaming feature.
