    Would Linux work?

Also are you absolutely set for 4 core rig? The 6 core would rum up to 900£ but it will be 2011 socket and if u decide to upgrade to 12 core desktop later on u will have that option... It will also be 50% faster...

Couldn't find a small board for 32GB with a 2011 socket. Also, the 2011 CPUs don't come with native coolers, so you end up buying a 3rd party one (which are always HUGE!) and there is a risk of them not fitting inside a small case. With previous 2011 CPUs we've had - with 3rd party coolers - you end up being very limited with ram sticks not fitting either.

So, to sum up, yes, it would have been nice to have 6-core machines but I didn't want to waste time troubleshooting build problems.
      Kind Regards,
      Richard Birket

ID:	850996 Its my little WIP slave I work on scripts and other stuff. In any case I use it for rendering. It has a gentle OC to 4.0 ghz which any1 can do.

At 4.5 gets noisy and outperforms my dual xeon E5530 OC to 3.8 ghz (8 cores x 3.8ghz)

So a Xeon workstation that cost me 3.5£ it being outperform by £1k more or less Well it lacks a lot but u know what I mean

Its stackable case so I can build them up on top of each other. And since its 2011 socket I can sell that 6core later and buy 12 core.
