'divide' symbol file

Hi

I have these files that have started recently appearing in my max model folder, the 'name' is a 'division' symbol, anyone know what they are ?

That's an old bug in 3ds Max. The files can be named just '%' or some other strange symbol... I'm not sure what's causing it though. I get them since the last few versions of 3ds Max.

We had our file server fill with this files. I max 2014 (lastest SP) they seem to have disappeared, or maybe are going to some other place. If i remember they looked like memory dump files (similiar to crash dump files), and maybe are related to the customer improvement program (CIP).
