I used Samsung's Data Migration tool to clone a 45GB win7 OS installation on a 60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD > Samsung EVO 120GB SSD and it all went flawlessly. This software will only work if you're migrating over to a Samsung SSD I believe, so if not, you'll probably want to look into your own drive manufacturer's software for this. There are other alternatives too of course.

Oh, except that for some reason after the clone, windows 7 had reset the monitor to turn off after 15 mins. Just a heads-up that this might happen for you as well. Would be best to go through and check all your Advanced Power settings are the same as you left them.

No! ...why would You think that? If it's a clone it will be exacly the same system running on the new disk. The only thing different is the disk controller will see a larger disk.
