We have a couple of machines whose month-long licenses have just expired and I haven't got around to registering them with Microsoft. This will be happening at some point this week. These same machines have been exhibiting some annoying DR-related issues, and I'm wondering if having an unregistered license of Windows 7 could cause problems with vray distributed rendering when it is running as a service?

Typically, when a machine goes past the activation period, the machine becomes useless until you authorize it. So I can definitely see it causing issues with your farm.
Why not just take the few minutes to activate the machines and be done with it?
