  • Scene taking ages to close

I'm working on a max 2014 scene, and the file has now started taking ages (5 -10minutes) to close down. The size (compression turned on) is close to 200MB. Not exactly sure where the delay is coming from. 1 CPU core is just humming away.

    What could be causing this?

I have tried to clean note tracks, but no change.
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

I've gotten used to my max scenes taking forever to close. I run multiple sessions when I have to go from scene to scene. When I close out one scene I just switch over to another session and let the first scene take its forever time. I have no idea why things are that way but such is life.

it could be due to nitrous...

Hasn't max always been like this with scenes over ~150mb?
At least over network connections to file servers.
Seem to remember having files act normally at about 130-140mb, then magically after exceeding 150mb it takes several minutes to load, save and close.
