I thought I might be able to ask a few of you Architectural Visualization experts to comment on your modeling techniques when you're constructing the elevation of a building. I've started rebuilding some castle ruins for an environment I'm working on and it's taken me a almost day just to get this far ...

I really don't like Booleans so I've been patch modeling with splines and the surface modifier with all the steps set to "0" so I can get a nice clean mesh. Are there any tips for speedy modeling of buildings anyone can pass on?
