  • Backburner error message :Body_Object.dlo failed to initialise

    I've had my fair share of problems with backburner, but this is recurring on one of our render slaves. Any ideas?

    3dsmax adapter error: Autodesk 3dsMax 16.3 reported error: DLL <C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\stdplugs\Body_Object.dlo> failed to initialize

    body objects are part of the nPower plugins I think. Did you import any step or sat files? Perhaps used a proBoolean somewhere?
    If so, convert that piece to editPoly and see if it goes away. That may not be a solution, but if it works fine after that, you'll know the cause. It could still be the cause, but I think that's the most likely possibility. I always check for those first (which is probably why it's always "the last place you look") :/

      Check that the DLO is actually there.
      If it is there replace it with the DLO from a machine the loads/renders correctly

        Haven't used any nPower stuff. The dlo wile was there. I have tried reinstalling max on that machine but it is giving me 'pipe errors' now.

        I will uninstall max, reboot and reinstall to see what happens. FFS!!!!!
