Render node - 3dsmax crash on startup

Does anyone know why this might suddenly start happening ? I've changed nothing from this morning when it was working fine. I've tried uninstalling backburner and max and re-installing. I've also tried deleting the max.ini file. Nothing seems to work. The window says - starting 3dsmax and then has an application error.

Never mind. I uninstalled everything, deleted all related files and folders (this time) and re-installed. Seems fine now.

It seems to be usually because of a corrupted menu file; in that case deleting the 3ds Max files in the local app data folder seems to fix it.
